Debtist and collect.AI connect dunning and debt collection

Published:

  • Debtist and collect.AI enter into a strategic partnership for a seamless transition from commercial dunning to debt collection

  • collect.AI customers should be able to hand over outstanding receivables to Debtist more easily in the future and with relevant historical data

  • As a registered debt collection service provider, Debtist already covers the entire process today from payment reminders to pre-litigation and litigation debt collection

Frankfurt am Main / Hamburg, 14. September 2026 โ€“ Debtist and collect.AI are entering a strategic partnership. The aim of the collaboration is to make the transition from digital commercial dunning to debt collection significantly easier and more efficient.

For companies that already use collect.AI for their dunning and payment processes, this should create a direct connection to Debtist. Outstanding receivables can in future be transferred to Debtist along with relevant data from the previous history.

Debtist already maps the entire receivables process digitally today. From automatic payment reminders and digital outreach to pre-litigation debt collection and court proceedings.

From dunning directly into debt collection

When payment reminders and dunning notices do not succeed, many companies still start a new process. Systems change, data must be transferred again and important details from previous customer communication are lost.

This is exactly where the partnership comes in.

collect.AI supports companies with digital payment reminders, dunning processes and payment channels. Debtist also offers these functions and complements them as a registered debt collection service provider with the complete pre-litigation and litigation debt collection process.

The partnership therefore creates an additional direct route for companies that already use collect.AI in commercial dunning.

This means outstanding receivables can be handed over to Debtist more easily in the future, without the previous history being lost.

More context for better communication

The more that is known about the prior course of a receivable, the more targeted its further handling can be.

Has the customer responded via certain channels? Were there inquiries about the invoice? Have installment payments or a deferral already been discussed? Are there indications of payment problems?

Such details can also be valuable in debt collection.

Instead of starting from scratch during the handover, important insights from the previous dunning process can be preserved. This facilitates further handling and helps to better tailor communication and next steps to the respective case.

The transition into debt collection must not be a restart for either companies or their customers. If we know what happened before, we can process receivables more intelligently and individually. That is exactly what makes the partnership so exciting: We connect two technology approaches into a seamless process, from the first communication to recovery.

Jan Dahnke, VP Sales at Debtist

collect.AI also mainly sees the collaboration as an opportunity to make the transition between commercial dunning and debt collection easier:

Receivables management is still thought of far too much in silos. When commercial dunning and downstream steps such as debt collection go hand in hand, we create predictable and above all noticeably faster liquidity for companies without jeopardizing the trust of end customers. Debtist shares our philosophy of transparent, modern receivables management. Through the partnership we expand the process chain for our customers exactly at the point where they previously faced organizational hurdles.

Raphael Ehret, CEO & CFO of collect.AI

Less manual work for finance teams

In addition to better use of existing data, the partnership should above all reduce operational workload.

Joint customers should be able to transfer outstanding receivables to Debtist in the future with fewer manual steps. Relevant data from the previous history can be provided directly.

For companies this means:

  • fewer manual exports

  • less switching between different systems

  • more transparency across the entire process

  • more context at the transition into debt collection

  • digital processing up to pre-litigation and litigation steps

An end-to-end process for shared customers

With the partnership, Debtist and collect.AI add a direct connection to their existing platforms.

For companies that already work with collect.AI, the transition into debt collection will be significantly easier as a result. Debtist remains usable as an end-to-end platform along the entire receivables process, from the first payment reminder to complete debt collection.

The goal is a modern receivables process with fewer disruptions, less manual work and more context across all steps.
