Debtist and Monpay combine payment processing and digital receivables management

Published:
  • Debtist and Monpay launch a partnership for an end-to-end process from payment to receivables management

  • Monpay enables online providers to offer modern payment processing without additional own transaction fees and with fast payouts

  • Debtist takes over when payments fail with digital, automated receivables management and a complete debt collection process

Frankfurt am Main / Berlin, 22. September 2026– Debtist and Monpay are entering into a partnership. Together, the two companies want to make the path for online providers from payment processing to professional receivables management significantly easier.

Monpay is aimed primarily at coaches, agencies, service providers, and other digital companies in the DACH region. The platform enables one-time payments, installment payments, and recurring payments and does not charge its own additional transaction fees. Instead, Monpay relies on a fixed platform fee. Payouts are made immediately or within 24 hours, depending on the payment method.

Debtist steps in where a payment fails to materialize despite simple and modern payment methods. As a registered debt collection service provider, Debtist maps the entire receivables process digitally: from automated payment reminders to out-of-court processing and through to legal action. Companies can transfer their receivables directly to Debtist via interfaces and integrations and track the entire process transparently.

From payment to receipt of payment

For many online providers, the payment process does not end at checkout. Installments are not paid, direct debits fail, or invoices remain unpaid despite reminders.

This is exactly the point at which manual processes often arise. Employees have to check outstanding payments, contact customers, transfer data, and eventually decide when a receivable is handed over to a collection agency.

The partnership between Monpay and Debtist is intended to simplify this transition.

Monpay takes care of making payment processing as simple as possible. If a receivable remains outstanding, Debtist can take over the subsequent process. This creates an end-to-end pathway for merchants from the original payment through to the realization of outstanding receivables.

Less manual effort for growing online providers

Especially for companies with many individual transactions or recurring payments, receivables management can quickly become time-consuming.

Debtist therefore combines automation, AI, and data-driven processes with a digital debt collection infrastructure. Receivables can be transferred automatically, processed individually, and addressed via various channels. At the same time, companies always retain an overview of open cases and incoming payments via the Debtist dashboard.

For Monpay merchants, the partnership primarily means one thing: they can focus on selling their products and services while outstanding receivables are followed up in a structured and professional manner.

With Monpay and Debtist, a strong partnership is being created that offers Monpay’s customers a seamless transition from outstanding receivable to digital debt collection. Both platforms operate at a highly sophisticated technical level and complement each other perfectly. – Jan Dahnke, VP Sales Debtist

Two companies with a similar ambition

Monpay was launched in 2026 and aims to rethink established structures in payment processing. The company relies on a fixed-price model instead of its own percentage-based transaction fees, enabling companies to make their payment processing more predictable. Shortly after launch, Monpay expanded its offering with additional payment methods.

Debtist also pursues a technology-driven approach in a market that has long been shaped by manual processes. Today, more than 1,000 companies trust Debtist. The company processes receivables with an annual volume of more than one billion euros and connects via more than 7,000 integrations to existing finance, ERP, and payment systems.

With the partnership, both companies combine their respective strengths: Monpay in payment processing and Debtist in digital receivables management.

We founded Monpay because we know the problems of online providers from our own experience – fees that are too high, payouts that are too slow, too much effort. Our goal from day one is to change exactly that. With Debtist, we are now taking the next logical step: outstanding receivables are collected professionally and automatically without our merchants having to lift a finger. Getting paid, as simple as it should be. – John Mateke, CEO Monpay
